Course Description
Wood Tech 1 involves the study of hands on approach to basic woodworking skills. This course is designed to help students learn how to create and assemble projects and also the proper use of machines to effectively and safely complete projects.
General Objectives
Students who complete this course will have:
1. "Safety Awareness" familiarity with the safe and efficient use of the tools, machines and equipment required for the course.
2. A common understanding and proper use of all machines and how to safely use each of them to complete the operation each is designed to do.

Requirements
Students will complete:
1. All safety sheets and machine demonstrations before working.
2. All check sheets before work or practice begins.
3. A safety test scoring 90% or better.
4. A rule sheet and machine safety sheet signed by parents/guardians and students.
5. Woodworking projects through out the entire semester.
